If your life is wonderful and you don’t need to improve physically, emotionally or socially… congratulations, this post isn’t for you. Still reading? Then you might be interested:
We are here because NOES3* was selected, along with 20 other projects, by Santander X Explorer to receive personalised guidance, and now we need your help to make it a reality.
NOES3 is a Spanish project created to tackle a problem that affects many: everyday stress and emotional burnout. Around 40% of workers in Spain report suffering from work-related stress or anxiety, and mental health issues are now the second leading cause of sick leave. However, most wellness apps are abandoned within the first few weeks because they ask too much of users or because their content is based solely on physiological relaxation techniques.
NOES3 doesn’t promise magic and guides you step by step. It’s a self-care programme that breaks down wellbeing into small, guided daily challenges, based on scientific evidence. It works in three simple steps: ‘How am I?’, a short exercise chosen according to your state of mind, and a wrap-up where you can track your progress, without any pressure.
The method has been developed by Rita Louzán and Alberto Villarroya, both of whom are lecturers, researchers and PhD holders in this field. The app focuses on four key areas: the body, emotions, thoughts and social connections.
“Stress isn’t eliminated; it’s managed. I wanted to translate scientific evidence into a tool that people actually use, without feeling overwhelmed,” explains Dr Rita Louzán, the project’s creator.
The campaign to fund the first version of the app and the production of its guided audio tracks is already underway, with a minimum target of €1,500 and a goal of €7,000. You can check its progress and contribute to making it a reality here.
