EcoWater: The commitment for the responsible use of water

Promoting responsible and sustainable water use worldwide is the aim of EcoWater (Universidad Nacional de La Plata, Argentina), one of the 20 projects chosen by a global jury to receive support from Santander X Explorer in a crowdfunding campaign that has just launched.

Using smart flowmeters and real-time monitoring systems, the minds behind this idea are developing "a revolutionary solution to address critical challenges associated with water management": inefficient usage and lack of awareness about consumption lead to waste, high costs, and pressure on limited water resources.

"With innovative tools and technologies, we are empowering communities to take proactive steps in water conservation and environmental protection. Additionally, our project can serve as a catalyst for widespread adoption of sustainable practices in other sectors and regions," explain its creators.

To bring this project to life, the EcoWater campaign focuses on raising resources to begin technological development or conducting pilot tests, as well as expanding the team and obtaining certifications required by regulatory bodies. "We are driven by the desire to contribute significantly to the solution of urgent water-related challenges, and we firmly believe that our project can make a difference in this regard," they add.
