AgrospAI (Spain, University of Lleida), one of the 20 projects selected to receive guidance from Santander X Explorer, has launched its crowdfunding campaign.

What does this project, linked to the 2030 SDGs, all about? Your farm produces more than just crops: it produces data, and that data is worth money. Currently, the information generated by tractors, sensors or drones is lost or ends up in the hands of third parties without yielding any benefit. To solve this, AgrospAI has a web platform already up and running that transforms this scattered information into a highly valuable asset. In this way, we help producers generate an additional source of income from their digital intelligence, whilst automating the cumbersome bureaucracy to give them back what is most valuable: their time.

In doing so, AgrospAI aligns directly with the 2030 SDGs, particularly SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), by democratising access to Artificial Intelligence and making the primary sector much more attractive, thereby ensuring generational renewal.

“We firmly believe that the farmer of the future isn’t the one who spends the most gruelling hours in the fields, but the one who best masters their own technology to improve profitability and quality of life. With this campaign, we aim to expand our infrastructure and ensure that the value generated in the countryside stays in the countryside,” explains Claudia Colás, a member of the team. Fundraising has already begun for AgrospAI; here you can see the status of their campaign and, if you’d like, find out how to support it!
