LightU Launches Crowdfunding Campaign to Transform Academic and Career Guidance

LightU (Spain, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos), one of the 20 ideas selected to receive support from Santander X Explorer, has kicked off its crowdfunding campaign.

What is this project, linked to the 2030 SDGs, about? LightU is an innovative platform that contributes to several Sustainable Development Goals. By ensuring quality education, this idea helps students make informed decisions about their academic future.

The platform promotes decent work and economic growth by connecting students with mentors and professionals who provide guidance and career opportunities, fostering full and productive employment.

Lastly, LightU works to reduce inequalities by ensuring that all students, regardless of background, have access to the same educational and professional opportunities. Using artificial intelligence, LightU personalises the user experience, offering advice and learning resources adapted to individual needs through collaborative social media.

“We are driven by the vision of transforming the way students make decisions about their academic and professional futures. We want to equip them with the tools they need to navigate an increasingly complex world with confidence,” explains Miguel Ángel Avilés García, team member and founder of LightU.
